Morning all. Well, looks like we've got an exciting day tomorrow, whoops, today UK time, with some people (like me) maybe seeing Super Odin for the first time this year (or ever). For those who missed it, BigRab caught Odin's arrival and Emma Peel posted it on yesterday's Daily Upate - thanks so much Emma - and BigRab - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4EoYaRO6js Haven't had time to watch it myself yet!
Empty nest at LG (and, she whispered, no cam at all at LOTL).
Somebody tell Odin: the Lady requires at least two fish per day!!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I've been catching up on all the excitement for the last hour and haven't seen Odin live at all. I take it from comments above that he's been missing for over 2 hours? Wow, she will really give him what for if that's the case when he finally does bring <><< <><< FISH! Really wish we had sound, it was so handy last year to know when to flick over to the cam.

Heavens, no fish, just more branches!
Yey! he's back, but what's this... no fish?
Loving EJs Les Dawson impression - crossed talons!
Odin is definitely not getting this breeding season off on the right foot. Last year he courted her with fish and was so great about bringing fish after that . Now he is taking her for granted and she is going hungry . I certainly hope he gets his act together soon or she may refuse to lay eggs.

If you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it......
I am sticking up for Odin here, he did not receive a rapturous welcome from his missus. She was too busy tucking into her tea, to bother with him and did not offer a mouthful, after his long flight. So I think he is asserting some authority!
Richard's newsflash of yesterday evening, see below:-
"Some of you osprey-eyed viewers will no doubt have seen some of these events but in short, at c.7.30pm an osprey appeared high above the eyrie, whilst EJ was perched in the adjacent dead tree eating a fish. When she returned to the nest with her fish she was then joined by this other osprey, a male. They stood quite calmly together, quietly side by side. EJ mantling to protect her supper, he then proceeded to re-arrange nesting material and at c.20.30pm they attempted to mate, albeit considered to be unsuccessful. It has to be Odin surely!"

Sat track schedule Spring 2014
LG 7 days; RW & SWT nil; LDOP varies
There is a new blog from David at LG, introducing staff for the year.
jsb, I can see you are trying to start a battle of the sexes here. I am surprised to find that EJ is still calling for some fish and Odin hasn't even returned to the nest since I last looked at 3.30pm.
