Daily Update (LG Nest Chat), Sunday April 4 2010

Hmm. 5:15 a.m. UK time and the LG nest is suddenly brightly lit (from the right hand side of the screen). There's gotta be a light there. Is is automatically set to come on then or what?  Don't remember it from last year.  Raining there now. No sign of EJ or Odin;  probably still out celebrating their reunion!  FYI, posts are uploading very, very slowly....

OK. Osprey on nest at LG, but that bright light is on and the black and white contrast is extreme, so can't ID which bird. 

Possible problem with site. Am posting, but as I said before, uploading is very slow, and the last two times I got a "server error" message that made it look as if the post didn't load, but in fact it did. Will post this on the Chat page too. In the meantime, another osprey just approached the nest, but didn't land. 

I suspect that's EJ on the nest; maybe Odin gone for breakfast? It's raining there; getting light...   Site seems to be okay again.

Hi Annette and any others at this early hour. The light that came on as you said is new this year, it is not infra-red I think, just a black and white strong contrast picture. But it does seem to be snowing or sleet. Earlier it looked as if she? was getting covered in snow, but as it is getting lighter, we will soon see what is going on.

Hey jsb: We should be getting color - or what passes for it - pretty soon.

Now, the light just switched off....and the nest is clear of snow.
