IN THE HUMAN BREAST HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL
In February we said goodbye to Millicent, EJ's 100th chick to fledge from the famous nest. We continue to watch Breagha, our only remaining tagged osprey juvenile.
In March we await the arrival of EJ and Oden, to start another family of fascinating bobbleheads.
I've cleared my computer according to directions and "forum" tab still takes me to "Maintenance" page. By going higher to "community" tab I can get index to entire forum.
Of course the nest is empty. Even if EJ were back she would most likely be perched in a tree during the night.
Good afternoon everybody! I see we are up and running again! I expected to eventually log on to find EJ sitting comfortably on her nest! But NO. Oh dear, I hope it is just bad weather holding them up. It seems many are late this year and hope they are not suffering too much in the bad weather. Safe journey to all :(
Good morning/afternoon Gabbers all. Yes we're up and running, but with a serious limp. Hope this is just me and not everybody. I have done everything I can to no avail. I'll try a repeat of the clearing process and see if it is more effective this time.
Last time I checked this a.m. the nest was still empty. I am very very disheartened about this weather thing, but still hoping for the best.
COUNTDOWN FOR LOCH GARTEN NEST
2 days till EJ'S RETURN on Wed March 25th @ 3;30 pm
8 days till ODIN'S RETURN on Wed March 31
According to my guess, EJ is now 6 days overdue. :(
Earliest guess was Pica, March ?? (Previously an error here and no one corrected me!) . No one guessed into April for a date.
At this point all I can say is "The sooner the better"!
This weather report has me scared. Besides that, until EJ shows up at her nest we don't even know she made it through the winter. In fact, today is the day I predicted for Odins' return.
June Very worrying but hope they arrive safe and well whenever that may be. Hope they arrive soon! Its strange that some arrive on time like Rutlands returnees and dear Laddie but as Keith says they could take different routes.
At the moment i am watching a lovely large victorian house being demolished they have just knocked a beautiful turret down with one bash with the digger bulldozer and makes me feel quite sad :( The machine is like giant teeth devouring all the walls like a biscuit. I cant stand to watch anymore! Must have been much loved once ! Am i just mad?
The updates for 30(o5) are due today and last time she was heading through western France so hopefully there will be some news. I hate the idea that they are struggling and hopefully are not going short of food .
Only once did EJ return during April. This was in 2007 when she arrived at 4:55 p.m. on April 4th.

Hi Willow, you were posting while I was looking up data and typing. We'll just have to hope for the best for a while yet.
