WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2015

Here are some flowers to cheer those who haven't had any today ( we didn't always manage to have any some years ago when money was tight - it didn't matter.......). Over the years its varied a lot - some of the 'Petrol Station' offerings have been rather, um, weak & sad looking! EDIT - I have a feeling, looking back on this photo, that its probably one which has been on this Site at some time and I have copied it - sorry if its anyone's! I must have added it to my collection because I liked it!

Thank you, I am feeling better, just weak from coughing. The heat doesn’t help – last night’s minimum temp was 28.8 C. Just checked it's 35 at 9 am, another scorcher.

I get nothing for Val Day because it is OH’s birthday, or it was before he announced he wasn’t having any more!!!! The only flowers he has ever bought me was an orchid for my birthday after my knee replacement. It lasted 2 years (the orchid, not the knee LOL).

Linda - J has been “mobile” for a month, rowing on her elbows. She loves crawling under things. One day I had rescued her from under a chair and then the double bed, Dau said one evening J crawled under the 3-seater lounge. All she could do was let J crawl her way out, crying all the way. Hasn’t stopped her. She sure can accelerate when she spots something interesting – like the cat, or a toy her sister is holding. L hasn’t made any attempt to move and is quite happy just to sit and play with her toys . . . until J steals them.

How different the girls are. I remember comparing notes with friends when my boys were small: their children all developed at different times. My Eldest walked just after his 1st birthday, but my Youngest was quite happy crawling and became very fast. Subsequently he wasn't interested in walking! Eventually he did, of course, but later than his brother.
