WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey) SUNDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2015

Hi everyone!

  • BTW - I've noticed several people on here mentioning losing their posts lately. I had one the other day which did not appear at the time of writing, but was there later when I popped in to rewrite it!! This used to happen once upon a time, when we all complained about the Site playing up a lot. Hope its not going through another difficult phase!!
  • Hello everyone

Thank you very much for your supportive messages. I can identify with what ANNETTE said about her friend wondering what she was going to hear, every time the phone rang!

Its a fact of life, isn't it,

that we will all have these times when bad news comes in thick and fast.

I've been reading all your posts and loving the pics of your four legged companions :-))))

  • Hello All -  Lovely sunny day again and very pleasant outside.  I am having the same trouble posting as you Lindy. I tried to post yesterday but it would not appear and later when I tried it again, was told I had duplicated the message and it suddenly appeared.  I also have'nt been able to post at all sometimes.

Limpy - Thanks for telling us all about your time at Minsmere, it sounds very interesting and rewarding.

Heather - Sorry to hear that you are going through a patch of bad news  at the moment , especially about your OH's SiL.

    Have a good day All.

LINDY    no wonder you get stomach upsets if you eat hats!!!!!!! Glad you are better.

dibnlib - LOL !! I only just saw your post, as the thread changed pages - my OH is pretty annoying, as he can eat mostly anything and has a cast iron stomach. I love cabbage, but have to limit myself - this also means I cant eat coleslaw which I love, as the raw cabbage disagrees! This applies to onions, too - we put huge amounts into our winter stews & soups as we love them, but I can't touch even a tiny bit of raw onion in my salad!
  • Walked to the bank this morning, I must get in trim for puppy walking later!! Saw an adult dog just like the one we're having, sitting outside a shop!
  • Morning all hope you are all doing okay. It has turned so cold and frosty again this morning. Lindy I haven't been brave enough yet to leave my wee girl outside a shop, you read so many articles about dogs being taken. I have to get oh to chum me if I want to go on a walk via shops then one stays outside.

  • Good Morning Everyone. No news here, just normal routine.

Heather, Sorry you are going through one of those periods of bad news. I am sure you enjoyed having family visitors last night.

Limpy, Thanks for news of your Minsmere experience, but sorry you have so many heath problems. I am sure you will be doing your best to return to Minsmere, though.

Linda, Our postman retired and we do miss him. We could leave letters, which he would collect when he was delivering, and post them for us. We will have to get the new one trained.

Rita, My post from yesterday hasn't reappeared. I tried to use RF and couldn't, so I clicked reply and It just refused to post and then disappeared !!!

We are going out for a walk and then lunch. We are both suffering from cabin fever. LOL

  • MARGO is not feeling great. She has asked me to post the following : ---

" Not having a very good week as I have managed to get dehydrated again. My blood pressure dropped significantly, so I was feeling very weak and wobbly. Now drinking as much as I can, because I don't want to go on a drip again.. It has also affected calcium and potassium levels, so even more important that I drink enough."

  • I know Margo is trying to keep reading your posts. She was told to drink at least 3 litres a day. That is a lot of liquid, especially when you are not doing much physical exercise. She is not a big tea drinker. We all know she can do it, though :-))

  • Lmac - I was quite surprised, as I wouldn't dare leave my dog outside any premises unless I had a big, fierce looking one! You are right, there have been too many stories of dognapping lately. We shall do the same, and take turns to stand outside if we need anything in a shop!
