This is a story that emerged last summer. I had intended to write it up at some point. I finally got it done in early December 2014. Now I am publishing it here.

That is the way life is. Sometime a tiny thing can lead to a lot.
I wonder why no one ever made the connection to Lady until you did. It had been true for 14 years and no one ever mentioned it. That was why I was a bit sceptical to say the least.
That connection was true regardless of whether the connection with Ollie was true or not.
Interestingly the wildlife forum must have known about it - how did it pass the rest of us by until now....

mind you that is the only one from that clutch of three that they know sex off, I wonder if the notes at ringing were a bit sparse in those days

Even if you know that Green 7B was hatched at Loch of the Lowes that is not the same as connecting her with the bird we have been talking about. The knowledge that Green 7B is a Loch of the Lowes bird only came properly into the public domain last year. By last year Green 7B had been dead for nine years.
If you don't mind Tiger and if I have time tomorrow I might try a put a link to this thread on the ladyoftheloch site, I'm sure they'd love this.

Well it open to the world.
Some of you may have missed this story.
Tiger, from all of Lady's fledged chicks is it only the two that have ever been spotted. Gree7b and the red? Ringed male spotted with chicks I think last year.

There was the yellow ringed male in 2008. I do not know the ring number off hand.
Did we ever find out the ring number of that male? Here is an account of Lady's brief liaison with the son from her 1995 brood:

I do not think so.
