Where did January go? Really interesting hearing about all the new/pending pups - think you have found some surrogate owners!!!
margobird said:AQ lol you will have to knit 2 more items for the extra sleeves.
No, No. I kept unravelling the same sleeves multiple times as I blundered the simple pattern. Right now I never want to see that shade of wool, ever.
Happy birthdays to Annette & Brenda.
Where has the week gone? Tues was nanny duty, Wed was recovery day + food shop, Thurs escape to library for an unfruitful session – it happens, now I am tired & disgruntled & off to bed early ready for nanny day tomorrow.
AQ - pleased to hear from you after a few days absence, but you do sound so very tired. Please take care of yourself, and I hope the girls are all good for you on Nanny Friday.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Good Morning Everyone. Slept in this morning. Everywhere is wet, with small patches of snow on the grass, so I presume we had some weather overnight :-))There is a very cold wind though, but I do need to go shopping.
OG, I know that yourself and EE, won't feel happy until J has returned home again on Friday and you will worry about the results of his annual check-up. You may have to do some of J's ironing, just to occupy yourself :-)) Sorry EE now has a cold. He did well not to catch the bug when J and yourself were so ill.
Linda, I liked your shirt ditty. I do hope your OH likes the shirt after all your efforts to hide it. Hope all goes well at the dentist.
AQ, Sounds as if you are running on adrenalin only and you could do with some 'real' time for yourself. Do look after yourself.
Loch of the Lowes need our votes for European tree of the year. See their latest Blog on the LotL Page. You can vote at

Good morning all and no frost here this morning so no battles with the bird baths. We may have a few snow flurries and the wind is forecast to be bitter making it feel even colder. I am eating very well this week but it will change once the chemo starts again. For the first time in ages I sorted out a recipe for goulash and made it from scratch. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and very warming while it so cold. Will sort something else out once the chemo effects have worn off. Billie has changed her seating arrangements again and has decided to cuddle up with me on the settee. She spreads herself right out not leaving a lot of room for me. I slide her along a bit but she just returns to the exact spot she has chosen for now. Needless to say she has hardly been out.
george so pleased to see a post from you. Good to read that you are still going for walks and making plans to go to Loch Leve.i know it must be difficult for you but Diesel had a good life with you and in time you will remember those good times. Best wishes to your SIL for her upcoming operation.
rita what a beautiful iris, such a rich colour.
Clare yiur interview seems to have gone well, keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Lindybird I am relieved to see my OH relaxing again. He is going to take a few days off later this month when I will feel reasonable and we wii go out probably in the New Forest Nd on the coast. We both love Durdle Door but a shame that I cannot do one of the magnificent walks. We also like Weymouth, it is a good old fashioned seaside and there are not many of those now. We are very lucky here as there are so many places to visit and the countryside is beautiful. My Mum and Dad must have been driven round the bend by being asked 'are we there yet" every mile or so. Ditty made me smile re the smuggled shirt, always good whatever you write.
Lmac Tapaidh is a gorgeous girl. I am sure she will get the hang of things soon. S... Law says she will behave when your OH takes her.
Brenda pleased to read you had such a nice day. Your daughter must be relieved to have completed conract at long last. Trouble is their purchaser probably increased the costs with all the messing about.
Wendy poor Daisy what must she have thought.
Annette what a shame extended birthday celebrations have ended. Your dinner sounded very yummy and pecan pie sounded good too.
diane your post was so funnt re a wanted poster for Lindy.
AQ do hope you are not getting too exhausted. Nanny days probably harder as the twins get older And more active.
OG know you must feel when J has his check ups. I tend to be very apprehensive when seeing my consultant every four weeks even though I feel fairly well.
Hooe you all have a good day.
Hello All - Sunny day here at the moment and the snow has almost disappeared from the road. I am going out with Amber in a few minutes.
Lmac - what a lovely photo of Tapaidh. I can absolutely understand how you felt after the dog classes. When Amber was a puppy I took her to puppy classes (a ten week course). We had a very good and experienced teacher with one or two helpers but the whole thing was chaotic, there were over 20 puppies of all sizes , all over excited and desperate to get to each other and play. There was so much barking etc, it was deafening and Amber was so excited she did not listen to a thing I said! I used to reach home exhausted and reach for a drink like you. However, you must stick with it because by the end of the course when we received our certificates, the puppies were all behaving beautifully, you would not believe the difference. I met so many nice people too and most of us went on to do the Bronze Certificate next, and then the Silver.
Hello all and thank you for your posts/chat.
OG - You'll not relax until J is home but hope that he will phone you when he is finished at the hospital.I can't remember, does he get told then and there if all is OK?
I've been on the end of several calls from Sheana all resulting from her delusional thinking. I am in touch with her nephew, won't bore you all with the details. Once I start chatting I don't stop (not that any of you will have noticed that LOL) so I'll stop now and just send regards to everyone.
