With this lovely video, I will say farewell to 2014 and welcome to 2015. Also best wishes for a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous year for all our Forum and Gabfest friends as well as all our feathered friends, especially EJ and Odin and their 2015 family.

Someone just came out and cleaned the Ithaca webcam of snow.

Once again I will follow you on Google Earth and maybe find some photos to post on Gabfest/
Godspeed on your travels. As always my prayers will be with you.
I kind of liked Ithica the way it was. :) For a while, anyway.
Valerie posted this on Facebook yesterday and hope she does not mind me sharing it.
It is the Wallace Monument just sitting on the hills above our home.
It looked quite nice after the snowfall.
Keith, I almost posted that here myself. A very lovely and unusual photograph.
Didn't realize it was close to you.
JUNE - It is about 5 miles from the house in the next town Bridge of Allan.
Good evening all. Keith hope you have a safe journey and hope you will see White14!
Today as its been so cold the feeders have been very busy mainly with blue tits and great tits. I saw 2 buzzards in the field next door and one was standing over a dead rabbit pulling it to bits while the other was sitting on the fence looking on. I think this was an already dead rabbit as rooks were having a go at it! I did not think that buzzards took carrion? . When needs must as was so cold!
Willow, the birds we know here as buzzards (I understand it's a rather generic term) are known to circle over dead animals or dying ones and are scorned for this reason. Actually this clean-up chore is a necessary one and the buzzards should be appreciated for this action, don't you think?
Hi June. I was surprised that the buzzard was eating carrion and it is indeed a necessary chore! Such beautiful birds. Eventually they both took off and flew acroos the field with a flaming red sunset for a back drop! What could be more perfect!
I do worry though and think could the carcass be poisoned? A large game keeping area and shooting near by! Not all game keepers are bad.
Willow You are a master at word pictures. "Eventually they both took off and flew acroos the field with a flaming red sunset for a back drop" Who needs paints with you round with a few words? I could see this picture immediately.
PS I like your accent, too. :)
