With this lovely video, I will say farewell to 2014 and welcome to 2015. Also best wishes for a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous year for all our Forum and Gabfest friends as well as all our feathered friends, especially EJ and Odin and their 2015 family.

OH!! I'm embarrassed!! I hadn't realized. so obvious now that you point it out.
I'm reminded of when we laughed at a woman when she admitted that she thought Oscar in a banana tree was a real osprey. (But of course he is - before I get in trouble again)
At present my favorites includes a long list of useless links of cameras and information. Some cams are inactive till later date, some probably need to be deleted. I'm trying to find working cameras and get cameras and information organized so as to be ready for the osprey season when it arrives.
At present the only active camera I can access is Sanabel on the Gulf Coast, Florida. The resident pair are named Peter and Jennifer.
Starling I notice you have liked my remark about Oscar. Do you remember that incident? I'm not sure how long you have been with us.
June, The white owl photo is very sweet. Young Owls are irresistible. Looks like the substitute Mum is supposed to be a Snowy Owl perhaps. Shame we can't know more about the photo.
Kind regards, Ann
So now I'm talking to "Likes". :( But yes, I got in trouble for calling Oscar a "stuffed toy". Never again will I do that!
Hi Ann, I did like the owl picture very much and think it a shame that it isn't truly a Mum and chicks (owlets). But the artificial Mum makes for an even more interesting story with so many questions to which, as you say, we'll never know the answers.
Hello All!
Gardenbirder, Buffalo did not get anything this past week, but now Rochester and Buffalo are getting a bit of snow - not a blizzard though thank goodness! I am meeting friends for beer and wings down the street later! (Even though my doctor advised that I could lose some weight and get some more exercise during my appt today! However, she is not worried - all my blood tests came back great.)
Willow, it IS Upstate New York, so snow is to be expected. It is lovely until it is dangerous! Thanks for your well-wishes!
Keith, my friend just returned from Florida, so I am imagining the mild temperature while looking at your photos. Why is it I never tire of osprey photos?
And June, et al. I am so excited - I just got my Ospreys in Wales book by Emyr today!!! The box was completely beat up. I understand that Emyr has stopped offering the book vio Amazon since so many were lost the last few weeks. So even though I paid a premium (shipping) I feel lucky. It is more beautiful than I had imagined, even.

CC Even with all the talk of "Ospreys in Wales" I didn't order a copy because of the extra difficulties involved in overseas purchases. Now you make me sorry that I did not.
Fish passed on to me her copy of Roy Dennis' "A Life of Ospreys" and I was so thrilled when I opened it. So many details, notes, pictures, etc. I envision something similar with the Wales book.
Am I correct in thinking it is now sold out?
