I don't know whether Annette will return to the site tonight or not, so I'm starting the Daily Update thread for Monday, March 29, 2010. The LG nest is empty. I assume that EJ is still roosting in a nearby tree. It's not yet dawn at LG.

Margobird, glad you got it. I am still fine tuning the process and practicing but hope to get some more vids when the action gets going.
How my heart goes out to EJ. She took her meals and holed up in the nest to keep a watch for Odin. Was she ever like this for OVS? or Henry? Or any of her other mates? I think she remembers the successful year she had last year and is yearning for another successfully raised family.
Hi Cirrus I have made myself feel quite emotional over EJ today as she sits alone on the nest waiting for her Odin. It is just so sad to see her looking round all the time. Come on Odin your lady awaits.
Note on the LOL diary that another female has for the past 48 hours been trying to take Marje's nest over, as yet she hasn't managed to do so but hope her Eric turns up soon.

Morning all: Here I am; have been twittering away on the chat page. All the while - well, until I just typed that - EJ has been on the nest and searching the skies. Hope she doesn't get desperate and settle for a second-rate mate!! Thanks all for posts and pix. I/m hoping to post some of my own - downloaded MWSnap but now have to figure out how it works. Off to get second cup of coffee and hopefully wake up!

And poor Marje!! Having to fight off a female who is probably a lot younger and is definitely a lot younger than her.

Good night EJ. Oh, at 7.45 pm she flew off and I saw she had the remains of her fish with her - the tail . Supper to eat else where before roosting for the night.

Hi everyone.Things... well, I was going to say: "Things all quiet at LG.", just as EJ landed. As far as ospreys go, she's a real star. Over at LOtL, things are quiet, they've switched to night camera.tish: That Odin, sounds a top bloke. He'll probably need to hire an agent though. LOL. The fishing line story really brought home to me the strengnth of character he has. It certainly is horrible stuff and shouldn't be dumped in water, no matter what the circumstances. Gary: No problem about the video not working. I'm not sure how to upload vids to You Tube, but you can see videos there without signing in. Although you would have to create an account in order to upload. I'd imagine it's a fairly easy proccess though. Cirrus, margobird: Poor EJ does look so lonely when she's scanning the skies. Don't worry though; I think she'll have company soon.Annette: I like coffee, myself. Tend to drink filter coffee, sometimes with full milk and demorara sugar, sometimes just black. Also like a cappucino now and again. Ever since I got a filter coffee machine a while back; I can't stand instant coffee.Paul.
