Weekly Chat (non-osprey), Sunday 12th October 2014

Good morning, all!  Welcome to the new day and the new week.  I hope it goes positively for you all.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • George, What a sad time for you, especially when it is already a personal bad time of the year for you. Glad your son and his wife were able to visit, even though it included a trip to Edinburgh. Sounds as if you should get together with your cousins more frequently. We all benefit from having others to talk to and to share those sad, happy and amusing times. I guess Diesel wasn't happy with the hour you returned home :-)) We are always so pleased to see a post from you, so please do share how you are feeling. You are, after all, a member of the 'old gang', who have 'known' one another for quite a few years now. Do take care of yourself. {{HUGS }}

  • New Blog from Mike.
    Breagha exploring, just a little, but always returning to his normal base.  Millicent not moving much.

  • Thanks for the TP link Clare. Hazy does take some excellent photographs and I wasn't disappointed.

  • Hello ALL

    Just to say thank you for all your news!

    I'm all shopped and cooked out, Callum ate sausages(several) with three eggs  scrambled for breakfast, we went shopping and then had a not insubstantial lunch and have just finished dinner and clearing up.Washing machine is working hard. I clearly have forgotten what life was like when my children were teenagers!

    I've emailed Margo, hope she gets to the ballet.

    If I survive will be back tomorrow:-))

  • Heather, Margo was going to the afternoon performance, so she should be home by now. She was very determined she was going, when we spoke on the telephone yesterday. I should imagine that she could be tired this evening.

  • AQ love those pics of the bottlebrush plant.

    Still ongoing with leak - unfortunately builder did not get back to us despite 3/4 phone calls, leaving messages on his answer phone.  If we don't get any joy on Monday will have to try and contact someone else!!! Regarding the leak have managed to contain it a bit better now but still have to mop up in the cupboard several times a day - hoping the mdf won't warp.

    Although windy today, has been quite pleasant with early showers. Managed to get washing out for a while.
