How can it be September; it was only just July......
Hi, OG! It looks like being a pleasant week here. Limpy is volunteering at Minsmere on Sunday and is looking forward to that. Hope it warms up for you as the day goes on!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
LittleMiss' "dress" was a top. With it she was wearing a dark skirt & leggings. Very "with it". Oh, the shoes came off early LOL
Weather has continued gusty all day, horrible. Wind is from the north, laden with pollen, hence stuffed up sinuses. A few spots of rain, not enough to settle nasty little things. 4 degrees OG!!! Last night our min was 18 C.
I've been checking "what to see" in Perth & Albany where we have some free afternoons. We leave Thurs next week. It has crept up on me.
The temperature soon increased here - my earlier figure was very early in the morning (for me) and it is now over 12C in the shade, and positively hot in the sun - can't be exact as the wireless weather station seems to have stopped working.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Good Morning Everyone. A cool misty morning here. Forecast to get sunnier and warmer. Doesn't smell too pleasant as they are 'muck spreading' around here.
AQ, LM looks even more adorable each time you show a photograph. Sorry you are suffering from the pollen.
Annette, I see that Norbert is also promising you some rain. The weather channel was getting quite excited about that prospect. I see it is being downgraded but still powerful enough to be dangerous. Hoping you stay safe without any damage.
OG, The builder, who is supposed to buy next door, advised the family that they had more prospects of selling, if they cleared the garden of most of the trees and he could arrange it for them, which they agreed to do !!! They had to pay for it, obviously and now says the 'wood' is still their property, so they will have to pay to have it removed. It was a beautiful garden and bungalow and I am sure would have sold easily if they had put it on the open market, but this builder moved in fast when he heard that they were thinking of selling. In our opinion they have been very naive. He can still pull out of the deal if he is not allowed to do what he wants or can even lower his offer price.
I guess Linda will be on her way to see Amber by now.
The mist is clearing so I am going to take a chance and hang the washing outside.
Hello all, thanks for starting us off Annette. Good luck with the weights!! Off to gym tomorrow and a swim.
Weather here has been lovely the last couple of days and promises to be quite nice tomorrow too.
Thanks for all your news and whats been happening.
Posting a couple of osprey pics from America as we have no ospreys to watch now.

2 more- one of the juves alarm calling and not happy . The other one of Bremin in Maine USA.
I suspect she might have inherited a strong personality from one of her grandmothers..........let's hope she gets the love of birds and sense of humour as well! Glad you've had a lovely time, Lindy.
Lovely captures, Lynette!
Evening all: Another day of muggy weather to help make the housework that much more appealing. Ugh. Must clean out the refrigerator tomorrow and give that a scrub, then the kitchen floor. Will put the back of the house on hold for a day or two.
Clare: We don't get hurricanes, but they can rumble around off the west coast of Mexico and by the time they get up here. which is unusual, they become tropical storms in California (San Diego got lots of rain yesterday thanks to Norbert) and monsoons in Arizona, where Phoenix had a lot of bad flooding today.
Brenda; Oh what a shame about the trees next door; don't you hate it when opportunists swoop in and start manipulating people so they can make a profit.
Lynette: Got an e-mail from my favorite yoga teacher yesterday saying she was subbing this afternoon's class, which was really good although I did take it easy after a morning of housework. Thanks for the osprey shots.
Too tired to concentrate so will sign off now - have read all your news and look forward to more tomorrow!
