This is a new thread to follow the travels of these three young ospreys from the Loch Garten nest.
Millicent
This female juvenile is the eldest of the 2014 brood, hatched on 17th May and fledged on 12th July. Millicent’s ring is Blue/White AN0
Seasca
Also female, the second of the 2014 brood, hatched 19th May and fledged on 15th July. Seasca’s ring is Blue/White AN9.
LG blog on the ringing and tagging of Millicent & Seasca. Their younger sister Druie is not tagged, but ringed Blue/White AN8.
Breagha
A male from the 2013 brood, hatched 28th May and fledged on 19th July. Breagha’s ring is Blue/white CF4.
LG blog on the ringing and tagging Breagha and elder sibling Oighrig.
The migrations of Breagha and Oighrig were previously followed in this thread. Contact was lost with Oighrig in January 2014, but Breagha has survived and is living in the tidal creeks of the Casamance river in southern Senegal.
Oh so relieved to read this post AP, was getting a bad feeling about the 'no news'!!! Thanks

Brilliant - thanks, Alan.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks, Alan--great news and long may it continue.
Kind regards, Ann
Happy with the news
11 days since we got a blog - long time, so close to arrivals!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I suspect it's all go at LG right now - they'll be getting close to putting the cam back on the nest, settling the new team in and preparing to say goodbye to Richard. No pressure there, then!!
I'm looking forward to hearing who the new manager will be.
I thought Richard had already gone to his Red Squirrel project & wildlife excursions abroad??
Richard certainly has done some of the wildlife excursions - the programme included him - but when he is officially off the books I am not sure we have been told. As for the downloading of data, on a past post I noted that "...10 March 2015 when tracking will revert to nine data points per day collected every three days.". Hopefully later on, perhaps in May, we may hear that Breagha has started his first journey north. Oh what excitement there will be then!

I cannot now remember if any dates were mentioned when I read about his interest in Red Squirrels & it was on Limosa holiday site that I saw he was leading a tour to Trinidad & Tobago in April/May ... It is such a long time since his name was mentioned that I assumed he had already left LG & that Jen was in charge ... Will await further news with interest!!
