This is a new thread to follow the travels of these three young ospreys from the Loch Garten nest.
Millicent
This female juvenile is the eldest of the 2014 brood, hatched on 17th May and fledged on 12th July. Millicent’s ring is Blue/White AN0
Seasca
Also female, the second of the 2014 brood, hatched 19th May and fledged on 15th July. Seasca’s ring is Blue/White AN9.
LG blog on the ringing and tagging of Millicent & Seasca. Their younger sister Druie is not tagged, but ringed Blue/White AN8.
Breagha
A male from the 2013 brood, hatched 28th May and fledged on 19th July. Breagha’s ring is Blue/white CF4.
LG blog on the ringing and tagging Breagha and elder sibling Oighrig.
The migrations of Breagha and Oighrig were previously followed in this thread. Contact was lost with Oighrig in January 2014, but Breagha has survived and is living in the tidal creeks of the Casamance river in southern Senegal.
Thanks Alan. This thread was playing its usual tricks for me, showed up that Alan had posted, clicked on last thread and his post was not there, tried it again, still the same. Tried going in the long way, clicking on the thread then clicking on the double arrows at page number and that was the only way I could see his post. Will probably have sorted itself out by the time I have typed all this.
Edit: Sods Law it has :-)

Bit of an aside about Millie. At the southernmost point of her visit to Sierre Leone (27-29 Jan), she visited Sherbro Island.
Personnel from the Royal Fleet Auxiliary ship "Argus", out in Sierra Leone to assist with the fight against Ebola, recently delivered food supplies to Sherbro and neighbouring islands - report and pictures here

How fascinating Sue C, thank you for posting the link. I see that the RFA Argus went out there in October, and delivered the food to the islands in December. A nice Christmas present for the islanders. I wonder whether there are any other osprey over-wintering in the area.
