Yesterday's quiet was punctuated in the evening by a similar male intruder to one who tried to move in with EJ on 24 April, but it may not have been the same bird.
All peaceful currently:
IMAGICAT
Poor EJ - she has stuck it out in all kinds of weather over the years. At least its not too cold at present.
Thanks for all the updates especially the pics/videos. Just to say I am glad of all the pics/videos whether they are fuzzy or not so please soldier on as it lets those of us who are out catch up on the days events.
She flew off a short while ago:
She called quite loudly as she went.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
What's going on this Osprey season with all these nests that we thought not to worry about - eggs still alone after 7-10 mins
I can hear something loud making a racket and it's not EJ.
I heard an Osprey call in the background Clare a minute or so ago but now it is just a plink plonk boing of the rain - this is not a good sign.
she's back but doesn't look happy
She is back:
The eggs were unattended for 16 minutes.
Most unlike EJ to leave the eggs for that long especially in the rain? Bizarre
