Will EJ return this week? What if another female tries to claim the nest? Will super-Odin return to fish another year? Or will EJ take another mate (she'd better not!!) Will YOU be the lucky blogger to catch the first glimpse of an osprey at LG? Tune in to the Loch Garten LIVE webcam for the first installment of Loch Garten Ospreys - 2010!!
Seriously, lots of interesting chat on the last page or two of the previous week's chatter. Catch up now because you won't have time once the ospreys are back in town! :-)
Derby Cathedral peregrines have their first egg.
Good morning Lindybird you beat me to it. Have saved this to favourites now save ploughing through all the groups. It throws me when things change.

Have been back to Katie's page to thank her and the Wesite expert for putting in this missing link!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

Everyone else thanks for your chat, pics etc.
This morning Lady P and I went on a mission to the doctor (nothing serious) and then a banking mission followed by a shopping mission. Hamish has had his afternoon walk and I must say it is very warm today:
Weather : Mainly cloudy dry , Temp 17.4c.
I was just thinking about the ospreys strategy of spreading the migration over several weeks. It makes sense when you think that if they all went together and were caught in sandstorms or bad weather there would be a great many losses. It makes sense for the survival of the species that they migrate sporadically.

Good afternoon all have finally caught up with the posts. My computer seems to be a bit slow today. Probably have to much on my favourites bar and pictures too. Sorry I am not replying personally to all the posts but I am having problems keeping up with so much going on.
What exciting news about Marje the LOL female. She is just wonderful when you think how many times she has made this journey and all the chicks that have been raised. I think I saw somewhere that maybe Eric is back too. As yet I haven't managed to catch her live but thanks to those who posted pictures and links.
Both female and male back at Gaslyn now so we are all now starting a journey again with these fantastic birds. Surely it can't be long now before EJ and hopefully Odin are back. Hope my computer is going to behave would hate to miss anything now. So look forward to the osprey season whatever it may bring. We have to take the happy with the sad at times but at least we have learned so much now and can realise why we sometimes have the sad times.
Just watched the video of Linda the Estonian female laying her first egg. Dave Sexton on the Mull blog said it is the first time they have realised that she made little noises during the process. that is what is so wonderful about having live cams.
As I type I have Lily and Hope the bear cam on and little Hope is in full flow filling herself up with Lily's milk. She is just so cute and I just love to see her little face.
Hope you are all having a good day.
EJ is a late afternoon sort of girl.
