Will EJ return this week? What if another female tries to claim the nest? Will super-Odin return to fish another year? Or will EJ take another mate (she'd better not!!) Will YOU be the lucky blogger to catch the first glimpse of an osprey at LG? Tune in to the Loch Garten LIVE webcam for the first installment of Loch Garten Ospreys - 2010!!
Seriously, lots of interesting chat on the last page or two of the previous week's chatter. Catch up now because you won't have time once the ospreys are back in town! :-)
Good to see you again, Diane. Thanks for compliment - have to admit I am using it as my desktop background!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

Great news Tiger! This pair don't hang about so there will soon be eggs! :)
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Well she is the first female back. I am sure they must hold the record for the earliest osprey eggs in the UK of the public nests.
Yes they must, an amazing couple.
Godo morning original goldfinch wonderful photo and so clear.
Don't know what your weather is like but we had a lot of rain for a while yesterday afternoon, followed by fog and now this morning it is raining again. I get so annoyed when I have put fresh, dry food out on the ground fedder. the other feeder does keep it dry so at least they have something which is not swimming about in water.
Have a good day.
Margobird
Beautful picture aquilareen you certainly get some interesting birds in your garden.
Morning Heron 77 what lovely photographs. As you say it doesn't seem long since we all chatted about the snow and thickness of ice on bird baths, seems a distant memory now. Weather here in Poole somewhat miserable, rain yesterday afternoon followed by fog and low and behold it is raining again this morning. Had just put dry food out for my birds as one of the feeders is a ground feeder so that was a waste of time. they still eat it though. Getting so exciting now with all the news of osprey sightings and one or two arrivals. I am so hoping they will get some decent weather when they arrive.
