Will EJ return this week? What if another female tries to claim the nest? Will super-Odin return to fish another year? Or will EJ take another mate (she'd better not!!) Will YOU be the lucky blogger to catch the first glimpse of an osprey at LG? Tune in to the Loch Garten LIVE webcam for the first installment of Loch Garten Ospreys - 2010!!
Seriously, lots of interesting chat on the last page or two of the previous week's chatter. Catch up now because you won't have time once the ospreys are back in town! :-)
Excellent news Alan. Looks like they're returning in geographical order! :-)) Lake District next!
Alan fantastic news about the Glaslyn osprey. LG ospreys must be on their way.

Confirmation of the Welsh male return:
22/03 15:15 GWYNEDD : Osprey, Glaslyn Estuary [S]male returned today; 12 years old and has raised 14 chicks to fledging (12:00)
Thanks Alan. Perhaps I am wrong but I had it in my head the females arrive before the males.
Successful bird anyway and I wish Glaslyn good luck for the season.
Morning all; Jiminy cricket! Go to bed for a few hours and wake up to find the pages bursting with osprey sightings! And yes, LG looks lovely in sunshine - do love that view over the trees. Hurray. Must get stuff done today so not stopping but Hi to all and thanks for congrats on Health Care Bill. Little rant here: People want all they can get, regardless, in services but seem to think they're all free and have no relation to taxes. I wish some Americans could get a taste of UK and other countries' tax rates. They die of shock. Anyway, soapbox back in closet and I'm off to do stuff before the whale count at 1. But have the LG cam up all the time now..... Take care friends!
Could someone remind me/us how to get screen shots? Also, do we get them from the live cam or do we have to rely on the still shots from the other cam?
Trucker cam now in pretty Georgia location
Afternoon all
How exciting to have all these returning ospreys! I am away in Dublin from tomorrow until Friday - I am definitely going to have to find an internet cafe or the suspense of not knowing if EJ has returned might kill me :))) I am hoping the Bassenthwaite ospreys and our Kielder ospreys return again this year.
AQ - lovely pic of the noisy miner bird - had to Google it to find out a bit more, and Annette's oak titmouse - never heard of either of them before!
Thanks to everyone else for chat links etc
Its stopped raining now so I'm off to fill up the bird feeders to last for a few days while we are away.
Take care all

OG, thanks for the Truck Cam info, it’s brilliant, excellent views of the vastness of the country, all to stirring music, and no waiting about! I thought soup was for easy sucking, but cashew nuts? Or do you whizz them? I’m doing carrot soup tonight (OH 300 miles away at his mum’s, so not cooking very properly).
Annette, I couldn’t possibly face having an outline tattooed to my lips, imagine the pain! I had my ears pierced after my mum and younger sister had had theirs done, but apart from a very few times I just wear the sleepers, can’t be bothered (v. lazy). I too have had to Google oak titmouse.
Just been watching Molly’s baby, she seems to be standing on it... AQ, I like your handsome Miner, is he noisy? Sorry, will google him too and find out myself!
