Italy, Siracusa:
Wednesday, January 1st, 2014 Saline di Siracusa (zona umida IWC) / Siracusa (SR) 1 Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)
[Renzo Ientile]
I spotted 5 Osprey at LG today....
Lochindorb 6 different sightings but couldn't tell how many in total although 2 at one time and one with a catch:)
Great that you saw them all at LG WENDY
LIMPY were you successful at Abberton?
The 3 youngsters were lined up...2 on the camera tree and Millie on the metal camera support....
Limpy didn't see an osprey at Abberton today - he says that nobody he spoke to had seen one all day.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
How disappointing

Oh my goodness! I was sitting in the garden enjoying the sunshine when I thought I heard an osprey call. When it happened again I rushed for the binoculars. There was not one, not two but three ospreys overhead - WOW!!!!! There was a buzzard in amongst them at times, but they soon left it behind as they headed south-east.
How lucky are you!
Oh wow Granny Smith. How amazing.

How fantastic, Granny Smith! I'm still waiting for the year I'll spot EJ flying low over my garden as she arrives (or departs).
