I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
Thanks for all the links TIGER Good to get positive news
As Nel gets older and stronger they may be able to get advise re:translocation projects so that she may be ableto be released back into the wild(?)
There is a video of Nel being fed on the O.W.L facebook page.
Nel is looking great, she really deserves this chance, what a little fighter she is!
The chat also says that Nellie has eaten, so I'm pleased about that.

thanks tiger, I was unable to find anything else about the rescued chick.
Apologies if Nell is taking over but I thought you would like to see this. The Nelson nest just after Nell was removed

News of Nel
The baby Osprey and foster mom, who doesn't have a name as we don't usually name the rehabilitation birds in our care. The young osprey 'Nel' is putting on weight and doing well, hopefully will start to self feed very soon! We will provide updates every few days as time allows, but please have some patience as we have a lot of other birds to care for and to post about. Thanks for understanding!
