I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
Not to worry Scylla I am very grateful to you for keeping us posted on events. I keep looking in tonight and it is always ens.
Today there was only one 50-second sighting of an osprey on the Sanibel nest - she left after flapping off an unseen intruder :-( That was 0950hr local time:

Further information regarding BLUE KC Female at THREAVE.
BLUE KC was ringed as a chick in 2009 in Stirlingshire, from a brood of 4 young so had bred first as a 3 year old in 2012 rearing 2 chicks and two chicks also in 2013. A good start to her career.
Does anyone remember S5 from the Basenthwaite nest? My sister sent me a photo postcard of him with my Christmas card. The picture was taken in 2007 and I wonder if we knew anything about his whereabouts now - and if he is still gracing this world.
Well, read from the bottom of the leg up it's 5S of course.
I hope it's ok posting this on this thread. I didn't know where else to post it. Osprey Chat for October didn't work :)
May have been a bit slow to post Cirrus but it's on the other link and Tiger has answered in detail.
Birdies LG DU update.
Bird currently on the nest at Sanibel. I think this is too speckled for Belle - who is it I wonder
Looking back at other videos maybe it is belle above
There is an osprey on Sanibel nest and earlier there were two. One has been bringing nest material.
Tried to post earlier but was having problems.
Two ospreys re-appeared on Sanibel again. I wonder who they are.
So nice to see them, -aids with the withdrawal symptoms until the new season.
I do keep losing the stream though, perhaps because of a slowish connection here.

Thank you Chrisy, I am recording them as much as possible :-)
This morning the regular pair, or the pair that we've been able to recognise most often, visited - he landed on top of her!
They have been back on the nest singly since then, and I've still got a few afternoon hours to check.
