LATEST BLOG from the Lake District.   14 still doing well in Bioko Island.

I've just read about Blue 14(13), thank you Mary.  It is so good to hear of the young osps doing so well, particularly when they get into their second year.  I wonder whether the island has other osprey who spend the winter there.  He really is a remarkable bird.

Sheila - I thought that it was White 14, will see if I can check up to confirm.   :-) 

I think there are probably other Ospreys on Bioko too, I am sure I have read somewhere about it :-)

'Our chicks were given their health check today, we believe we have a male, colour ring White 14, and a female colour ring White 15'

Thanks HilaryJ - I got caught up on the DU thread and didn't go to check, but I thought they were White rings! 

Thank you Mary and Hilary.  Their report merely referred to 'Number 14', and with so many of that year using a blue ring, I am afraid I, quite incorrectly, 'assumed'.

GreenJ was wandering from mid-June to mid-July :o

Am very sad that no chicks raised, but very pleased that XD kept feeding GreenJ - he's a good lad really ;-)

Feel really sorry for the poor fish though :(
