I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
No camera at Caerlaverock Also, we don't seem to have heard from Threave this year????
Don't seem to get a lot of news from Threave, but I believe they have 2 chicks this year.

Nelson BC chicks being fed now. It is presumed to be Nellie feeding them. She was missing from the nest for around 20mins, presumably fishing :)
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Nellie has brought back a fish to the nest.

Starling - Threave do have two chicks (Confirmed in a Tweet saying Happy Fathers - Black 80 once again father of two) - hatched around 21 May and both are doing well. I think they are short staffed and do not report so much as in previous years.
I get the occasional tweet from them.
Thanks KEITH Good to know
I am going to perhaps assume wrongly that some kind intervention has helped Nellie. Sadly she has lost a fish but seemingly has just returned to the nest with two fish, one a very large headless variety with what looked like a cleanly missing head - thank god for that. She and two chicks having a good feed. Hope that river throws up some more headless fish tomorrow.
Bloggers on chat seem to be blaming the disruption of whoever/whatever delivered fish to nest/area caused the demise of chick 3?? I missed it all but Nellie apparently departed quickly from the nest. Experts on site are saying #3 had already died prior to her leaving the nest?
Some people are saying that Nellie brought in two fish that had heads neatly cut off? Wallmart?
Sounds like it Tiger :)
I thought only one had head and tail cut off though.
