I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
Thank you Sheila.

Thank you, Sheila. Still hoping for a miracle.
How sad but what a moving account of KL
Reported 25 minutes ago by Lake District
Sadly, but not unsurprisingly, we can confirm that our poorly chick died either last night or early this morning. Although upsetting, we are also pleased its suffering is now over, and delighted that the remaining two chicks appear strong, healthy and are doing very well.
Thank you Keith for the latest update. I too am pleased the chick will no longer suffer, I couldn't stop worrying over what would become of it.
Always sad to hear of the death of a chick but good that the other two are doing well.

Kristianstad, Vattenriket webcam up and running:
WHITE KL and her mte have been busy gathering grass from the surrounding harvest fields today at Lake District and have effectively burried the chick. This was Number 1 the eldest chick that had died.
