I have just had a look at Sanibel cam and I see an Osprey has arrived. No idea who it is - is it Ripply from last year or a new bird. I remember last year finding a facebook/blog page about this nest but for the life of me can't remember what it was so can't compare images from last season, so if anyone else can remember......
both there now
Lmac thanks for the pics, nobody has mentioned Ripply so don't think it can be him.
To complete the bad news for the week. apparently Phoebe is dead!
Tiger Signature
Did they find her Tiger, I had read that she hadn't been seen since yesterday afternoon and that somebody was feeding the babies.

Hi, just tuned in to Sanibel, and an osprey has brought a large forked branch in and is battling it around the nest! Think is the male, looks very white breasted.
Male was on the Sanibel nest a little while ago when I looked.
Male and female on the Sanibel nest now.
Update on Sanibel

It seems that one male has prevailed, he having evicted the "Nestorator" yesterday. Therefore the couple has been named, he is Iceman (!) and she is Frida.
Iceman triumphant after the eviction:
Iceman has been working hard today, but it must be said that he could be more skillful!
Nestcupping:
Stick-arranging:
Yesterday he brought a fishpiece for Frida, took two visits before he handed it over though.
