Good morning, all, and welcome to the new month's thread. I imagine we'll have to wait and see whether Glesni has actually gone - if she has, she can look back on a season where she has every right to feel very proud of herself!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Clarach has now flown off the post.
We have a bird on the nest:
He's having a good look around!

I was wondering too, meant to say that she must be far away if she hasn't come for the fish. I did hear a little peep just before Clarach left the nest with the fish, didn't really sound like Monty :-/
This crow is very dingy compared to the striking magpie!
He's left (I think he found some bits worth eating) and now the magpie is back:

The crow is being let down by the lack of sunshine!
Just been thinking that it has been a long season for Monty providing for all the females! From the free loaders back in April to his two girls now and still sometime to go before he can start thinking of himself again. He has been a remarkable dad.
Both he and Glesni have been remarkable - I'm looking forward to this partnership continuing next year (fingers crossed!).
Just for "the record" ;-)
Clarach cleans her toenails, starting and ending with a poop:
Monty brings a FISH, 18:49!
It's a lovely big one, too.
Give us some of that, Sis:
No.
