HAPPY NEW WEEK!!!
Here's a link to last week's Weekly Chat thread. The code for this week's Weekly Chat is WC250813 (in case you ever want to search for it from the search box).
I was away most of last week, and I think it's too late for me to get caught up on replies. I have read all of your news and have loved all the photos! I enjoyed the report and pics from AQ's most recent trip (yay, ducks! And loved that pelican, also the big trees). Wonderful photos from Mulberry and NiteOwl (lilies are one of my very, very favorite flowers; yours are super lovely!). Beautiful dragonfly from Alicat. I really loved the very majestic photos from Lindy -- ducks and deer! Woo hoo! That's an especially beautiful species of deer. Beautiful hibiscus from Alan. Love your increasingly subversive signatures, Alan. LOL! Glad that Mulberry saw an osprey! Happy belated birthday to Jess.Glad that Cerist at Dyfi has been found! Nice to see Mike posting here. Brenda: Are you glad or relieved to say good-bye to the puppy? LOL OG: Hope your sparrow hawk was okay after the window strike! Thanks for posting the excellent photos of handsome Diesel, handsome George, and your own beautiful self!Nice to see Lynette. I hope you have a grand holiday in Austria.I hope that Limpy is feeling better!I'm so very glad that Margo has had good results from the chemo. Sending good energy to you, Margo.Everyone have a great week! It's Indian Summer here and the temperatures this week will be 90 - 100 F (32.2 - 37.7 C) with very high humidity. Yuck.
Thanks LIMPY. Just heard from my son that they have cancelled Penny's op until tomorrow. She seems to have a stomach upset this morning !!!
Gorgeous puppy Brenda, I hope Penny is ok and gets her op tomorrow.
dibnlib, thinking about Dillon and hope all is ok ;-) I hope you get a date for your eye op soon, will be thinking about you.
Annette, I was scared, if I had run my hand automatically down the cable without realising, I dread to think of the consequence, it was still just held by a tiny bit of plastic coating at one side. Glad you're having guilt free shopping outings with your friend :-)
Limpy is it a Red Kite?
Lindy sorry about your post :-(

BRENDA What a beautiful puppy. OH quite fancies a Beagle, but I must admit I prefer the hairier breeds. Poor little mite having to have an op already. Hope it goes ahead tomorrow, and then it is over and done with.
News from our vet not great. She scaled and polished his teeth and said there is nothing to worry about there. The urine sample this morning showed a prostate problem and castration was recommended, so that was done today. Unfortunately the x rays showed a lump in his groin (if you remember he had an op to remove a lump in his groin 16 months ago) also his lungs were showing fuzzy patches, so it looks as if the dreaded C has returned. With meds we should be able to give him a good quality of life for a while yet - here's hoping.
Dibnlib, I'm so sorry to hear that. Give him a big hug from us, please.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
What lovely pics, Limpy - presume you took them recently.
Brenda - reminds me of a Beagle some friends of mine had once - he was a real character. They are wonderful animals but are sometimes described as 'challenging' !!
Good afternoon, all - I've been taking some more pictures! If you click on this picture you should find it's a link to them:
One of the fishing boats at Felixstowe Ferry - I love the bright colour of it!
Dibnlib : Sorry to hear about Dillon.
Dibnlib, I am so sorry to hear about Dillon's results. We aii know that he will have the best care from both you and your OH but it is definitely not the news you wanted to hear. My very best wishes to the three of you.
