Will today be another "has she gone" or is she "still here"
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Not that it is easy to identify but I would see the lovely EJ is still with us.
One boy flew in and tussled with EJ for the fish, then another boy flew in and EJ flew off.
First boy taking fish from EJ
2 boys alone now, don't know who got the fish.
Empty nest now, but can still hear chirps
Morning, Mary - good to see EJ, luckily ring is clear unlike confusion from last night! Couldn't see the fish until juv arrived to take it.
Glare means I can't see which offspring gets the fish
Both brothers on nest
Then they both flew off. Now the fishless one is on the nest complaining!
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
I can't wait for Odin to appear - I should be on a bird survey!
Morning Birdsong
Yes he is making himself heard, "Where is My Fish", come on Dad where are you? :-)
Couldn't believe my luck when I logged on this morning and saw EJ tucking into a fish on the nest, then I doubted myself that it was her, but when one of the boys flew in and took the fish from her, it was confirmed, also you could see her leg ring, but between glare, poo cloud and pixilated screen it doesn't make it easy for us does it. LOL
He has gone!
One of the boys has landed and he's shouting for Scotland:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
He's flown.
