Will today be another "has she gone" or is she "still here"
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
It's so wonderful to know that EJ is still with us!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Odin appears on the nest:
He potters and has a quick nestorise:
One of the boys appears and Odin promptly scarpers!
He's flown.
One of the girls at Dyfi has just fledged - thought you'd all be pleased to know!
EDIT: False alarm.
Morning everyone - thanks for updates. Great to read EJ is still with us.

Oh good, but thanks for trying, CLARE :-)
I'm in a great muddle this morning, am hoping that ENS will prevail for a while and I can catch up relaxedly :-/
============
CATCH-UPS:
Lots of white screen and black screen overnight/early morning. Hence...
DAYCAM 0518-0519hr
0552hr, juvies in the area, one flies thru top left corner; 0636hr EJ lands with fish and chirps, waits, eats some fish, 0649hr Breagh comes for fish, 0650hr Oighrig turns up, stand-off, Breagh flies off carrying fish, Oighrig hangs around for a minute and leaves.
IMAGICAT
Morning, Scylla - sounds like you need to get the kettle on.
Facebook is also full of some very confused people - I was far from the only one who thought there had been a fledging so I feel a bit less of a plonker now.
Cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit Scylla - you deserve it for all the good work you do for us lesser mortals of the Osprey watching world!!
Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment
Hold fire, Tiger and JanetW are saying she did fledge - apparently Ems checked the camera!
AAAGGGGHHHHH!!
Definitely a fledge - they've uploaded a video! Yay!!
