Morning all!

  • Lovely picures AQ, and fine storytelling as usual. That tree looks very, very old. Any idea what the plaque on it said?

  • AQ   great pics thank you

  • Fascinating pics, AQ - what a dreadful flood that must have been. Overslept today and then had to sign in again, here. Off for haircut, back later.
  • --- AND this site still won't do bold, or my paragraphs, when I write on my tablet!!!!!

  • Good morning, Lindy.  Am I the only one who gets in every day, without ever having to sign in again?

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • I have no problem Clare if you mean this site?.

  • Goodness, quiet on here again, today.  I've had a bit of a day where "nothing goes right" although I have got some things done off my To Do List.  Not going to list all the little things which have been so annoying:   but  had a bad start with getting up far too late, then rushed off to hairdressers where she leaned over me and told me she was coming down with a bad cold: expect I will have said cold in a couple of days from now!!

Whilst I was out, my OH went out to buy a new door bell.  He had it all up and fixed by the time I returned. We've missed several callers lately and realised that it was only working some of the time. Now we have some very posh sounding Big Ben Chimes donging out when anyone calls!! First caller was a man wearing a "Talk Talk" badge who started on a spiel to sell me something -  Buzz came to the door too, and barked at him, and then I said to him "Talk Talk, No Talk!!!" and shut the door!  No time for arguing today!!

Getting the house ready for invasion from our family this weekend, so I will not be posting much over the next 2 days.  Looking forward to seeing our Grandson again and hearing all his funny little questions.

Sometimes I need to sign in again, and sometimes I don't.  Oh, now I have pressed some key and its all in italics!!  LOL!!!  There are endless things different since this Site was 'improved' including losing whole posts, pictures not appearing, and not being able to navigate properly around the place. It has nearly put me off writing on here at all, except I would miss all you Lovely People.

  • I hope you have a great weekend, Lindy, and fingers crossed you don't catch that cold from your hairdresser!

I should mention (before I forget) that Mrs T has posted her kindest regards to Margo on the Missing in Action thread.

  • Better put the last of the D. Massey pics on here before the weekend.  I have some more pics of another place we visited after that, which I will do next week.  Thank goodness I got rid of the italics!!

After admiring the house and the grounds, we strolled around the corner to examine the moat which protects the entrance:

The archway near the people you can see, is where we came in at the beginning, and the previous clock tower is now seen from the other side. There were some sleepy ducks resting on the bridge over the moat! --

       -  whilst admiring them, I realised that I had barely noticed this proud Lady with her big brood of 8 chickies!!!

  • Beautiful, Lindy!  You now have my permission to relax and enjoy the weekend.
