Hello all
I have just had a call from Margo's OH. Margo has been really very unwell this past week and hasn't been able to look in here at all. She has had some bleeding and has been taken into hospital. They are wondering if she has diverticulosis and will be doing some investigations.
Margo knows that you will all have been sending love and hugs, and that is why she asked her OH to send this message to you all.
Thanks HeatherB for sharing the news about Margo. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her OH.
Diane: I think we would all feel better if you were to rescue a dog not only for companionship but for your safety. Preferably a large dog with a gruff bark! Nothing like a bark or a growl to deter unsavory characters.

Breaking news from Team Badger :
"Gloucester Cull Zone now falls below 70% . Cull in Gloucester cannot proceed as in breach of Natural England license conditions.
Farmers have been pulling out as they believe the cull will fail. The NFU are trying to prop it up but are failing.
Dorset License to cull from Natural England is about two weeks away.

Evening all: Went to Farmer Market this morning for yummy white peaches, raspberries, avocados and squash.
Heather: Thanks SO MUCH for the news of Margo; what a ghastly time she's going through. Her OH must be exhausted; I know you'll pass on our best wishes to both of them. Re the tall/skinny syndrome, I can empathize with your granddaughter. Hope you got her some pants that fit. Re editing posts, put your cursor on the bottom right-hand part of the blue bar above your post and a drop-down menu will appear with an Edit option. (I didn't notice the typo!)
Alan: Gobsmacked (is that a rude word to use on here?) re Lord Howell's comments - how amazingly ignorant! Love Chris Stewart's take on the south though. So the northeast is "uninhabited" - just gorgeous unspoiled countryside - which means it's okay to frack there? Eeeek.
Diane: Ah yes, those desolate and uninhabited prairies of Indiana and the Midwest. Nobody is nearby, so no problem contaminating the groundwater. Let's frack there!
AQ: Hurray for a new camera - and Little Miss is the perfect person to practice on. Hope it won't be too complicated to get the hang of (geez - lots of dangling participles there!) Love the color of those cyclamen.
OG: What cuties; where is the nest? Wasn't dashing about, but busy with jigsaw puzzle and all of a sudden, it was very late.
Mulberry: OMG; what a vision of that kid wrapping the washing machine. Did he keep his job?

Did a lot of gardening today - shearing back summer bloomers so they can bloom again, feeding roses and other plants, raking leaves, deep-watered some trees and had a fight with an uncooperative hose. All good clean fun and about the same amount of work still left for tomorrow - then it's time to get the ladder out and head up the orange tree. Have a good Monday all.
