Here's to the new osplet's first full day. All looks peaceful on the nest just now :)

Yet more food for the wee one!
EJ nearly fell into the nest cup there

Oh darn it. I've lost the vid. RtB, do you have it? I'm sure that I could hear EJ, chick and croc grunts at one point during feeding.

Sorry Scylla it was a particularly poor joke in the middle of the night! You were complaining about chick being noisy, so I thought instead of Odin Jr, it should be called What A Din. Don't worry, I'm not giving up the day job...
EDIT: I hadn't read previous thread when wrote above! Glad it wasn't completely off the wall & inexplicable after all. Still not giving up the day job tho!

EJ takes a quick break and comes back to eat fish on side of nest. Chick is calling for attention!
OK then, here you go
Please mum, I want more
No, what you need is a good, warm sleep, little one. Mum knows best
Brilliant photos and videos, many thanks folks! My previous experience with EJ is that she keeps feeding the chicks until they cannot take any more! (If there is enough fish of course) With Wotadin it is amazing how much a half a day chick can eat, don't you think? Happy watching.
Lovely series of captures (and captions) - thanks for sharing. I hope no 2 hatches soon, and is as determined as no 1, or I can see problems ahead - no 1 certainly knows what it wants, even at less than a day old.
Looked in on the nest a while back (sorry, wasn't recording) and EJ was feeding chick again! What a lot of fish for one so small.
They need the food for the long trek to Africa in a few short weeks. Poor wee mites.
