This is the new thread for posting reports of osprey sightings, whether on the internet, in the press or in real life.
For the benefit of any new or less frequent viewers, it might be helpful if the first person to refer to a regular online source of information, for example Faune-Aquitaine, provided a link and a brief explanation of what the site is about.

Glaslyn bird in Switzerland !!!!! http://www.roydennis.org/index.asp?id=11
Thanks Vespa: That is truly amazing!!!
Great to see 94 again. The last time I saw him was at Glaslyn and he was only a few days old.
Vespa That is so amazing. Surely one of the hight points of the season. I have alerted the Welsh contingent.

Slight problem with this:
Emyr Evans has just reported on Facebook that:
Something strange happening here.. White 94 was both reported taking a fish from his father on the Glaslyn nest on August 26th and at Lake Klingnau in Switzerland on the same day - around 800 miles away.
????
OOOOPs! :)
Yes, just checked back and seems all the Glaslyn birds were still around then. Perhaps the date in Roy's report is a typo.

Have you had a look at the ring? Is it really 94? Rings have been read wrong before! It is like Glaslyn saying that 94 was safely with them on 26th August!
So did 94 fly all the way to Switzerland in one day?
Or is the date of the photograph wrong?
How certain are we that the number is 94?. Looks as though it could easily be 96.

A very good question. I have blown it up to a huge size and that is not conclusive either. Mind you it looks more like 4 when it is blown up. Also the eye of the osprey looks more orange on blowing it up.
