Alan, your careful extraction of this data is quite an 'eye-opener' in terms of the number of reported sightings, which must account for a fair proportion of the 230 breeding pairs that Roy quoted recently. They are continuing to come as we know, so the total tally will be useful for future studies.

Re Osprey at Dalmellington last night at 17.11. Poss the same bird seen flying over Loch Doon. The forestry 'Commotion' put up a platform last year after frequent Osprey sightings in the area. This one last night continued flying North though. not sure what the fishing would be like for them in the area. Though there are lots of fisherMEN .
