This is the new thread for posting reports of osprey sightings, whether on the internet, in the press or in real life.
For the benefit of any new or less frequent viewers, it might be helpful if the first person to refer to a regular online source of information, for example Faune-Aquitaine, provided a link and a brief explanation of what the site is about.
Let the migration season commence!
Good morning Cirrus.
What is the link to the Eagle Webcam site, please? :-)
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Hi Sandy http://www.iws.org/bald_eagles/twoharborscam.html it's so sweet when you catch them talking to each other.
http://www.iws.org/bald_eagles/westendcam.html this one currently off the air as yesterday it developed a 'shaking' fault
And just in case you don't have the Hilton Head Osprey nest (currently slowly being built up)

Isn't that just fantastic news. Who knows, EJ and Odin and the birds from LoL could have set off on their journeys home already :)
EJ has almost certainly begun her migration. If out countdown clocks are anywhere near right she will be at Loch Garten in just over 15 days.

But as winds increased, some birds flew overhead during the late morning and afternoon, and showers pushed some passage towards the Rock producing a total of 1042 Black Kites, 72 Short-toed Eagles, 2 Marsh Harriers, 9 Sparrowhawks, and a single Osprey. Interesting observations included 23 Flamingoes, a flock of 12 Cranes and two migrant Ravens that flew north.
