This is the new thread for posting reports of osprey sightings, whether on the internet, in the press or in real life.
For the benefit of any new or less frequent viewers, it might be helpful if the first person to refer to a regular online source of information, for example Faune-Aquitaine, provided a link and a brief explanation of what the site is about.
Let the migration season commence!
Sue
There is at least 1 Osprey still at Weir Wood this evening. Being seen at the West End by the hide. There were 2 last night and this morning.

Thanks Sandy - now I haven't been to Pagham for a while, either.
Since discovering the Geograph website recently, I've been using it to view some of the sightings locations - the photo coverage is better than in Panoramio. For example:
West End of Weir Wood reservoir - the place Debbie referred to: http://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/TQ3834
Pagham Harbour: http://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/SZ8696
At least one Osprey still at Weir Wood, Sussex this morning. I have added some photo's to my page of the two Ospreys at Weir Wood on Thursday 19th August.
Thanks Debbie they might be waiting for the weather to improve before they move on.

Thanks Debbie. Brilliant that you were able to see both birds.

One Osprey is still at Weir Wood, Sussex today. The weather here has been rubbish all week and despite being warm we have heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast for this evening. I suspect the Osprey is staying here due to the weather. Looking at the photo's one of them is definately an adult.
