    Good morning. We have had some typical November weather this week which hasn't been ideal for wildlife watching. However, plenty has been seen nonetheless.

    Good morning. We have had some chilly weather recently so here are some more recent sightings:

    I went for a walk before work on Friday armed with my camera and I took these photos of the frosty washland:

  • 16 November recent sightings: Lot's of swans and some nice fungi

    Good afternoon. It was a lovely day on Monday and a common darter dragonfly was on the wing in the sunshine. 

    There was an unprecedented count of 460 whooper swans on the washland first thing on Tuesday morning. We have certainly never had this many roosting overnight in that area so it was a great record. A single black tailed godwit was also present.     Good morning. Apologies about the lack of updates this week, we have all been very busy here.

    On Friday, there was a great white egret on the washland along with two black tailed godwits. A water pipit was also feeding near the Washland viewpoint.

    Good afternoon. There was plenty to see over the weekend so here are some recent sightings:
