On our recent coach trip with the Newcastle RSPB Group . Here are some landscape photo’s.
Regards,
Ian.
In the last of the last pair of photo’s is the small visitor centre with toilets and a small exhibition. No latge tea rooms or shops. It's not a large visitor centre. The car park is very very small. Our coach droped us off and Geltsdale is a very remote RSPB reserve. Not so easy to see birds as you see at some wetland reserves. There are 3-4 different walks in distance. The longest walk is 5.miles! As some of our members might not have managed 5 miles. My RSPB Group did the 3 mile walk. There is a little tarn with one small hide. But apart from that and the tiny visitor centre. No shelter if the weather is bad. I had my waterproofs in my rucksack and had my climbing boots on for the walking. I could myself have walked the 5 mile walk! But it was a hot sunny day wit blue sky and not a sign of any rain on that day!
