Can anyone help, please. Husband and I noticed a new visitor to our garden this morning and can not find it in our bird books. The bird is approximately 18cms has a grey head with black flashes on the eyes. Wings are like a smooth brown with black down the outsides. Chest is yellowie beige with black markings either side is black and white and it has a bright white belly. Only thing we can liken it to is a Snowfinch but this bird is not recorded in Britain. Please Help

Probably a Fieldfare, a winter Thrush.
If you put out some apples whole or cut up they will appreciate it a lot.
