Seals at Fen Drayton Lakes

Is it possible that these seals seen at the lakes could be the ones that have been regularly seen for many years in the River Ouse around Earith Sluice. I spotted them on a couple of occasions. Called in at the lock keepers office there to chat about what I'd seen, the keepers showed me several photos of them in the river and basking on the bank outside the office. They believed that the seals were now resident and maybe had breed there. With the flooded fields between the sluice and the lakes maybe went there to feast on the carp!!(lol)
  • Hi Rich,

Thanks for your message. Visitors do spot the odd seal in the river around here, not sure whether they would be the ones you mention but interesting to hear what the lock keepers say - must be great to have them basking so near their office!
