Things will get slowly better as we go into October along with the weather I hope we are already at 85mm for the Crook and still 10 days to go until the end of september.
I hope LTTs will stay around for next week - only ever seen them once before!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Lapwings are now up to 150 which is good news they are roosting in the castle wetlands quiet alot of the time and using the Crook when they are disturbed.
A party of Long tail tits with their metalic call working the hedgerows at Baldoon as I and volunteer was collecting berries from the local Hawthorns for local provence seed.
PS 4 Barnies seen at Caerlaverock too - and others have been seen coming down Norway coast!
Read your post on previous blog re Barnies arriving - Autumn starts here! Hoping to see some of them when we come for Book Festival.
