Our Kestrels are now live on the Arne website! The female has been sitting on the eggs for 32 days so the first should hatch any time. She seems particularly restless today and sometimes you can even hear the chicks calling from the eggs. Who will be the first to see a hatched chick? It would be great to see everyones observations on this forum so we can keep updated with all the excitement! To see the webcam follow: http://www.rspb.org.uk/reserves/guide/a/arne/webcam.aspx
What on earth is that noise going on?
Sorry - just me - got 2 webcam's going on at once - the noise was the Osprey's. Doh! Do not adjust your 'set's' !!
One last capture for the night:

Ok Dom Cheers
The chicks are doing well despite the weather, a bit quiet on the food front today. And there are still definately still four chicks. Despite their size one always manages to hide behind the other three, so don't worry if it looks like one is missing! Also in this weather thwy will tend to rest, so if they dont look that active their is probably nothing wrong they are just conserving energy. They are calling a lot a the momment though and that is probably because they think its time for the adults to bring in some food!
I think it's precisely because of their size that one has to hide behind the other three - there just ain't room for 4 any more! Wider box next year? :-)
They do look rather splendid this morning. Those parents should be very proud of all their efforts. Another little critter just bit the dust...
