Finally got round to gettting over to Arne again for my second vist this time took my son with me to show him the deer he was not dissapointed we also saw our first Red Shanks feeding (3) at the Shipstal hide. A very nice morings/afteroon walk, really like Arne nice big place that dose not seem to look busy even though there is a lot of people about.
Glad you enjoyed it Woody! Redshanks are great waders to watch!
Thanks , it was nice to see the Redshanks and hear them, need to get a bigger lens though as the pictures I took with my 70-300mm are not that good. Also on the day we spotted Shelduck and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. most defiantly coming back.
you always need a bigger lens woody..:-)
Capturing the Light with an original perspective displayed in every Photograph..perhaps
Yes you are probable right I have been thinking about get a 400mm as I already have a 70-300mm and I thought if I went for the canon 100-400mm lens I would mostly use it at 400mm, but then I expect I would be saying I need a 600mm .
I have a canon 100-400 lens and mostly use it at 400! I read in an article that the 400 lens is faster, lighter and cheaper. Personally I want to invest in a x1.4 extender but they also are not cheap!
Regards,
Dave.
I had a go with a 100-400mm and a x1.4 extender when a mate lent me is, I found that on my 500D with the extender I lost auto focus. The lens was very good though, that's why I can not make up my mind because the 400mm is not IS and the 100-400 is which I think I need? All Canon equipment is expenseive I think.
