Apologies for the public post, I just wanted to say what an excellent trip we had yesterday. The weather may have been better but with the variety of flora and fauna you guys have we really didn't notice the lack of blue sky. Even when it was 1700 - and the clouds had come down to ground level - we had to stop to watch the kestrels pop out to find some dinner. Awesome.

P.S.: Sarah: thank you so much for the temporary binocular strap (and for such enthusiasm, for showing us the long-tailed tit nest and for bringing in the grass snake eggs)! Sorry that we didn't make it back in time to return the strap to you in person but hopefully it was found on the sign this morning. Good luck with the rest of the season, hope we'll be back again soon!
