I'm not sure that the professionals should join in with this as a) they should know what they are and not need to guess! and b) it would make us go straight to that particular bird without us looking through the books and putting in some effort and thus defeat the object of the exercise.
However, as Rob is a very nice chap and if he really want to play then perhaps he can jump in at the end after most have posted their suggestions?
Am I taking this too seriously?! Discuss.
Hi-
Aiki and I sit back in the 'Identify this' forum and steer the discussion in the right direction. I'm sure Rob has enough professionalism to do the same here

Pudweena is on a roll of two on the trot and that is not bread rolls.
Rob should have his bird ID books forcibly removed for a fortnight and his ornithological brain cells wiped, the swine! And who is this mysterious "Woodpigeon" is what I'd like to know? It's all a little too convenient. Stewards' inquiry!
Hi Dom take a tip and do the same as me and agree with pudweena she has some great books obviously and burns the midnight oil I think.
OK - I agree with pudweena and whatever she decides! :-)
Incidentally saw one of the barn owl juveniles out and about at 6pm today. Must have been a youngster because it was performing circles round the field and scaring every living thing away!
Oh you lucky person Dom - I am so jealous and was even at Arne myself this afternoon but only at Coombe Heath for a couple of hours.
PS. Thank you to the above for your votes of confidence which no doubt means I have probably got the latest one wrong. In fact I wanted it to be a Lesser Yellowlegs but it's legs are red!!! Hey ho.
We appear to have two Robs. Can we ban anyone and everyone called Rob?
I think there are 3 Robs now.
