I've just heard and it's also on the RSPB Arne reserve webpage on the RSPB webpage that Arne RSPB reserve is hosting Autumnwatch 2016.
Regards,
Ian.
By all accounts a lovely choice of reserve.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I haven't been there for some years but it's a lovely reserve. I'm sure we will see some Sika stags rutting.

Will look forward to watching, always a great watch.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
It's not been officially announced by the BBC until 8.00pm this evening on Facebooks Springwatch site, as I tried Googling for more information, but nothing. I just found a few lines on the Arne webpage on the RSPB website by accident.
Did anyone see this video of a Sika Deer prancing across the beach at Poole not far from Arne. They reckon it may have swum across from Brownsea Island where there is a resident population.

Yes I did see this last week Tony, quite something.
I've just been on the BBC Media website that and the good news is that Winterwatch will also be broadcast live from Arne in January 2017 as well as Autumnwatch in October from Arne. I've changed the title as well a little because of that.
Thanks, All, and hurray!
Kind regards, Ann
Just to say I'm very disappointed that there is no live all day live wildlife webcams from Arne all day via the BBC's red button TV service or on the BBC Autumnwatch website. I did asked the BBC why and I didn't get a very satisfactory answer.
Hey folks, hope you are all tuned in ready for this years Autumnwatch!
