Five days ago I found a toad on the patio with a missing foot (healed) and black over the eyes.
I took a couple of photos and on closer inspection the eyes seem to be covered by leeches.
The toad had vanished when I next looked so thought nature would take its course.
I have just seen the toad again back on the path.
What should (or could) I do or should I just leave it be?
It's not always easy to hug a hedgehog.
But that doesn't mean you shouldn't.
That doesn't look pleasent...toads are visual hunters so if he can't see there isn't much hope for him when it comes to catching food. The missing foot is issue though they can do fine with missing limbs. Wildlife rescue centres will take injured toads in so may be worth giving them a call see if they can take him in.

Toad has disappeared again but will keep a look out.
i am surprised that he was still around after 5 days.
Looks like the poor thing is the result of coming into contact with a strimmer.
Toads and frogs need their front legs to clean their eyes and thats probably why the leaches are still there.
Certainly needs taking to a wild life centre or contact the RSPCA. may need looking after for the rest of its life.

I really hope you can find your toad and take him in to the wildlife centre, where I am sure they will look after him.
Let us know if you see him again!!
