RSPB Gwenffrwd-Dinas is made up of enchanting alder and oak woodland and fast-flowing, spectacular rivers. This reserve is set in the heart of the beauty of mid Wales, as Bevis explains:

"When I was boy, a river and wood was always a great adventure. Some thirty years later I found my way back".

During the Autumn of 2013 I returned to RSPB Gwenffrwd-Dinas. I wasn't returning to swim in the pools of the Afon Twyi as I had done as a child but to film the reserve and its nature. I looked for passed inhabitants and saw new residents. I filmed through out the year, re-aquainting myself to the reserves seasonal transitions. During that summer I saw people swimming in the river's pools at the point known as The Junction just as I had done all those years before.
