With the summer holidays in full swing, we imagine you are busy enjoying the Welsh countryside and its abundance of delightful nature. You may have spotted coots pattering on a lake, or an otter bobbing to the shore before diving back down for his lunch. Wildlife in its natural habitat is a wonderful aspect of life and we’re lucky to have it on our doorstep. However, Wales’ nature faces more threats than ever before - with one in 14 species extinct or facing extinction. The good news is, you can help ease these threats over the coming fortnight. All you need to do is contact your water company and ask them to do #More4Nature.

With water companies due to spend £3bn by on environmental management in Wales from 2020-25, this is our opportunity to make sure nature gets the best deal. At the end of the day it’s your money they’ll be investing, and they’ll spend it as you wish. The #More4Nature campaign has been running since the beginning of June and is coming to a close at the end of August. We’re thankful to those of you that have taken a stand for nature so far, and we’re encouraging you to call on your family, friends and work colleagues to also take a stand over the coming fortnight.

You can tweet your water supplier stressing your support for nature by using the #More4Nature hashtag. You can make time for a quick phone call to your water company, highlighting your wishes for nature to be made a priority in their spending. Or you could draft a short email where you emphasise the importance of water companies doing #More4Nature in their business plans from 2020-25.

It really is as simple as it sounds. They’ll spend as you wish. No catches. This is your opportunity to do #More4Nature. You have two weeks to tweet, phone or email them!
