This March our stationary bike will be popping up at places all over south east Wales as a key part of our Give To Gola campaign. One of the main focuses of our work in the Gola Rainforest in Sierra Leone is spreading awareness about how to live sustainably, and what better way to do that back at home than with our bike?

We’ve set ourselves the incredible target of racking up a massive 3,100 miles on our stationary bike – that’s the distance from our Cardiff HQ to Gola. We’re getting as many people involved as possible, from RSPB staff taking time out of their busy schedules, to seasoned cyclists, to volunteers who’ve never even ridden a bike before.

We’ll be at St David’s shopping centre between the 17-20th and also the 23rd of March. We need people to come along and donate us an hour or two to help us rack up those miles – if you’re interested please do get in touch with Lauren by emailing lauren.thomas@rspb.org.uk. And don’t forget, when someone gives us £1, our partners Size of Wales give us £1 too!

Want to join in but can’t make it?

Why not do your own sponsored bike ride? You can donate us your miles as well as the money you raise safe in the knowledge that Size of Wales are doubling your donation and that you’re helping us get that much closer to the Gola Rainforest! Just make sure all your money is donated by 31st Wales 2014 in order to make it count double.
